Washington, D.C. — The Institute for Women’s Health (IWH) congratulates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on his confirmation as Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) and looks forward to  his leadership at this critical time for global health.

With his long track record of advocating for public health improvement, accountability, and transparency, Secretary Kennedy is well positioned to ensure that women’s authentic health is reprioritized in global health policy – free from divisive political agendas that hinder real progress.

With the U.S. rejoining the Geneva Consensus Declaration (GCD), HHS has reaffirmed its dedication to improving women’s health, strengthening families, affirming that abortion is not an international human right, and upholding the sovereign right of nations to govern free from ideological colonialism. IWH stands ready to work alongside Secretary Kennedy and his team to accelerate the GCD’s momentum and promote authentic health solutions for women and girls around the world.
